Kaufmann Streamborn E-newsletter News, Announcements & Fishing Report! |
The slate's been wiped clean and there's a whole years worth of fish to head out and catch. Here's a short report coming out of the holiday covering some favored water. We'll go in deeper with a longer report mid-month after we see what the rains bring. In the meantime, get out on the clear and drop, there's been some really good fishing of late.
As usual, would love to see photos of your adventures and as you read more below we'll have a little better outlet for those catalogued in the past and going toward the future.

The newest film from the gents who brought you the Chasing Silver series of films. Bass: The Movie from Howard Films throws the door wide open on the Largemouth Bass scene in California. Filmed in several locations around the state including Lake Casitas and the Sacramento River Delta, Bass: The Movie pits conventional gear tactics against fly tactics in what evolves into an especially wicked tandem. Beyond the angling itself, the film has amazing footage of the Sacramento Delta...America's #1 Most Endangered River System.

| Rolling into 2010, Kaufmann Streamborn has launched a new blog to support anglers in the Northwest and beyond. Throughout the coming weeks and month's you'll find a plethora of information relevant to all aspects of fly fishing, whether it be fishing conditions on the Sandy, the newest arrival to DVD, or pending threats to waters we hold dear. Some of the posts and items you find on Wide World of Spey Days will be found here as well, but we'll focus on far more than two-handed rods here and we hope you'll find something to enjoy here on a regular basis. If you're using a reader, just click the RSS feed to have the blog delivered to you. In addition, you'll find feeds to Facebook and Twitter should you find that more convenient. If you have suggestions, criticisms, or witticisms for the blog, feel free to drop me a line. Our current header photo comes from one of Portland's most crittery anglers. Thanks for the shot! Enjoy the NW Fly Fishing Blog, there are quite a few back posts for you to delve into! Happy New Year.
